The 512 BB had the 5-liter version of the 12-cylinder Boxer when it made its debut at the 1976 Paris Motor Show. The new engine was an immediate hit since it provided the same power as the 365 GT4 BB’s older model while having more torque. Pininfarina made minimal changes to the bodywork from the previous design. Some of the modifications improved the car’s exquisite design only for aesthetic reasons, while others improved engine cooling.
The 365 GT4 BB, which was produced between 1973 and 1976, was replaced by the 512 BB. At 6,800 rpm, the 12-cylinder V-engine generates 360 horsepower. Up through and including 1981, 929 units of the 512 BB were produced in total.
